There are only 3 plans here, all from other publishers. That's a small choice, so here is what each one is, and where to look if none of them fits.
- runDisney 10 Miler Beginner is for newer runners, written by Jeff Galloway around his walk breaks. You run 3 days a week for 13 weeks, the long Saturday reaches 11 miles, and a lighter week follows every long one. Its written guidance on what to do when something hurts is clear. But after the first, each long Saturday is a big step up from the light week before it, and there's no strength work. It grades C.
- Runner's World 8-Week Beginner 10-Mile keeps every run easy and grows the Saturday run to 10 miles. "Beginner" here means you already run a few times a week. It has no lighter weeks and little help when a week goes sideways, and it grades D.
- Runner's World 8-Week Run Your Fastest 10-Mile is for racing faster: 5 runs a week, one hard session every Tuesday, and long runs up to 12 to 14 miles. Week 1 is already about 28 miles, and you'll need to know your race paces. It grades C.
The ladder is strict. A C is a decent plan with gaps worth knowing about, and a D is either bare bones or has issues that you might want to avoid.
If none of these suits you, look at the half marathon plans. Their long runs cover 10 miles with room to spare, many run on 3 or 4 days a week, and the choice is much wider.
No plans match. Try another level or a different number of run days.
